Valuing and Promoting Nature-based Solutions in Development Projects for Climate and Disaster Resilience – Guidance and Rapid NbS Valuation Tool

This guidance manual helps to assess and value the benefits and costs of NbS in development projects aiming at building the resilience of communities to climate change and to disasters. It supports informed decision-making by helping to prioritize and implement effective climate and disaster resilience (CDR) solutions, considering social, economic, environmental, and governance aspects. With the “Rapid NbS Valuation Tool,” stakeholders can engage in a participatory process to identify the most suitable adaptation options, ensuring sustainable interventions while minimizing the risk of maladaptation.
