Field Day: Valais

The Swiss NGO DRR Platform is happy to invite you to a field day in Valais on September 24. We will visit the beautiful area of Champex-Lac where scientists and public officials will provide insights into Switzerland-specific measures, approaches and research projects on forest and water management that are addressing climate and disaster risks as well as biodiversity loss. Please find attached a tentative agenda that is subject to change depending on the availabilities of the experts.

We will meet on September 24, 09:50 in Martigny (suggested train 08:07 in Bern, which arrives 09:47 in Martigny). From there, a bus will take us to the area of Champex-Lac.

In case you’re wondering whether you can join as a non-French speaking, presentations by the experts Dr. Christine Moos and Dr. Christophe Randin will be provided in English, for the remaining discussions with public authorities we will organize direct translation.

Please feel free to forward this invitation to interested colleagues. For planning purposes please confirm your participation until August 31. Please also inform us whether you are interested in staying at the Botanical Garden’s Chalet for the weekend.

We would like to thank our member organization FDDM very much for organizing and coordinating the event!
