Fastenaktion

Fastenaktion is a Swiss organisation for international cooperation. It supports disadvantaged people in the Global South with the aim of creating a fairer world and overcoming hunger. Working in close dialogue with partner organisations, Fastenaktion draws on local knowledge to develop effective approaches. A key focus is strengthening the resilience of particularly vulnerable people (LNOB) through holistic agroecology, establishing and accompanying Solidarity Groups and networks as well as promoting gender equality and the human rights-based approach. In view of increasing fragility and the impacts of the climate crisis, Disaster Risk Reduction / DRR, Climate Change Adaptation / CCA and the triple Nexus are becoming ever more important to Fastenaktion’s work.
