Climate, Environment and Disaster Risk Reduction Integration Guidance (CEDRIG) Training for SDC and Swiss NGOs – a 2 day face-to-face training

The systematic integration of climate, disaster risks and the environment (CDE)  into development and humanitarian programmes is promoted as a way to accelerate progress towards development goals in a climate-sensitive and risk-informed manner.

The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) has developed a practical guidance tool, CEDRIG, to support organizations in screening and improving their projects, programmes and strategies with climate, environmental and disaster risks in sight.

SDC offers a 2-day workshop for its staff and members of the Swiss NGO DRR Platform to strengthen capacities on CDE mainstreaming, working hands-on with the CEDRIG tool. Sarting from a given context analysis, strategic priorities and key entry points will be developed to integrate CDE issues into development domains. Participants will apply the CEDRIG methodology to specific projects across thematic sectors. Through the workshops, the organizers aim to raise awareness of the need for thematic integration and the concrete application of the CEDRIG tool.
